2 from Kashmir TV actress's murderers neutralised: Police

Srinagar: According to the Jammu and Kashmir police account on Friday, two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, who were involved in Kashmir TV actress Amreen Bhat's murder, were killed, Asian News International reported.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the murder case of Amreen was solved in 24 hours, and ten terrorists- three from Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and seven from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)- were killed in relation to the case in three days. The last two LeT ones were killed in Kashmir's Awantipora, he said. He added that the police had recovered one AK-47 pistol from the last two.

The last two were killed in the Soura area of Srinagar, and they were identified as Shakir Ahmed Waza and Afreen Aftab Malik. Police recovered evidence against the two, including arms and ammunition, police said.

It was on Wednesday that the Kashmiri TV actress Amreen got killed by unidentified assailants in Budgam's Chadoora area in Jammu and Kashmir. Amreen's ten-year-old nephew got injured during the assault. The boy got wounded by a bullet in his arm, and he is receiving treatment at a hospital, police informed.
