Superstar Rajinikanth on Sunday stated that he was unaware of the Justice K Hema Committee and the calls to establish a similar panel in Tamil Nadu.
When questioned by reporters about the committee's work in Kerala and the growing demand for a comparable panel in his home state, Rajinikanth responded, "What? I am not aware of it, sorry."
The Justice Hema Committee was formed by the Kerala government following the 2017 actress assault case.
The committee's report brought to light numerous instances of harassment and exploitation faced by women in the Malayalam film industry. Despite the widespread discussion around the report and its implications, Rajinikanth indicated that he had not been informed about it.
