Tragedy at Pushpa show: Allu Arjun promises woman's family Rs 25 lakh

New Delhi: Actor Allu Arjun promised Rs 25 lakh to the family of the woman who lost her life in a stampede at a Pushpa 2: The Rule premiere at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. On Friday, he expressed his condolences to the victim Revathi’s family and said that the medical expenses the family incurred during the incident, which injured the woman’s eight-year-old boy, will also be taken care of by his team, The Times of India reported.

The severe crowd that gathered at the Sandhya Theatre on Wednesday for the movie show led to a stampede and resulted in the tragic death of the 35-year-old woman who died from asphyxiation. The crowd there gathered to see Allu Arjun.

The actor said that whatever he does, the loss can never be covered. From the outside, he wanted to say that he was emotionally there for the deceased’s family. Whatever help the family needs, he is there for them.

I'll be there for them if they need any kind of support, I will try to be there," TOI quoted him.

He wrote on X, “Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey.”

According to TOI, the little boy remains in critical condition and is in the care of a ventilator. Though doctors said that the boy showed some improvement, his condition remain critical. Police have registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team and the theatre management. Police are also investigating the incident, TOI reported.
