Shah Rukh Khan receives threat call from Raipur, Mumbai Police register case

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently received a threatening call from Raipur.

The call, made to the Bandra police station in Mumbai, demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh.

Police quickly tracked the call to a young man named Faizan, who was located through his active phone number. A case has been registered, and a police team is investigating in Chhattisgarh's capital.

Khan, 59, had already been under increased security since last October following death threats after the successful release of his films Pathaan and Jawan. He now has Y+ security, which includes six armed personnel guarding him around the clock, an upgrade from his previous two-person security detail.

This incident mirrors recent threats received by another Bollywood icon, Salman Khan, who has been repeatedly targeted by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Just recently, a 32-year-old man from Rajasthan, named Bhikha Ram (also known as Vikram), was arrested in Karnataka for issuing a death threat to Salman Khan. According to police sources, Ram, who claimed to be a fan of the gang, made the threat after watching a news segment, hoping to extort money. Salman Khan also faced demands to apologize publicly or pay Rs 5 crore, following his involvement in a blackbuck poaching case that holds significance in the Bishnoi community.

Due to the persistent threats, Salman's security cover has also been strengthened, with added personnel after suspected Bishnoi gang members fired shots outside his Bandra residence in April.
