Model walks with tablecloth dress with real food at Copenhagen Fashion Week

Copenhagen: Fashion weeks are known to generate buzz for the unexpected. But a tablecloth fiasco at the Copenhagen Fashion Week has taken things to the weird territory.

A model was seen getting up from a table and walking away with the tablecloth attached to her dress. The video went viral on social media and some even thought that the tablecloth was part of the dress. The food and crockery were also dragged with the tablecloth because they were attached to the outfit as it was part.

Designer siblings Nanna and Simon Wick are responsible for the performance and needless to say their Autumn/Winter 2023 collection has become the talk of the town. The model to pull off the brave act is Sarah Dahl. The tablecloth also had candles, cigarette butts, white card invitations, and wine glass stains along with half-eaten food plates. She was wearing a pink corset and pretended to toast by clinking on the wine glass to grab eyeballs before getting up and walking away.

The brand, (di)vision, posted the video on Instagram and wrote: "What are you bringing to the table?” @sarahdahll I am the table. AW23 Dressed for Disaster. Thank you so much everyone."

While some people said the look was legendary, cool, iconic, and a moment, others said it is ridiculous. Some people called out wasting food and others questioned what was the point of the act.

The Copenhagen-based label was founded in 2018 and says its work ethic is to create from what already is. They claim most of their collections are made from pre-existing materials.
