Katrina Kaif, known for her role in Zoya Akhtar's 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,' has expressed her strong desire for a potential sequel to the beloved film.
In a recent conversation, Katrina revealed her urge to Zoya Akhtar to consider the development of a sequel, believing it could be an exceptional continuation of the original narrative.
During the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Katrina Kaif expressed enthusiasm for the idea of a sequel to 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,' emphasising its potential as an incredible continuation. She disclosed that she had already urged Zoya Akhtar to contemplate creating a sequel, acknowledging the frequent requests from many regarding the possibility of a follow-up film.
Highlighting the significance of a sequel deserving its storyline, Katrina mentioned, "Sequels should not be made for the sake of it. It has to earn it. It has to deserve a story being told." She reiterated that 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' holds the potential for an exceptional sequel, stating, "It is one of the films that has the possibility of an amazing sequel."
'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,' directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, chronicles the transformative journey of three friends on a road trip in Spain. The film, featuring Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin, delves into their personal struggles and discoveries during the adventure.
Katrina recently captivated audiences with her portrayal of Zoya in 'Tiger 3,' co-starring Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film is part of the popular Tiger franchise and the broader YRF Spy Universe.
Her upcoming project includes Sriram Raghavan's 'Merry Christmas,' a bilingual film in Hindi and Tamil. The movie, a collaboration between Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures, was initially slated for a theatrical release in December 2023 but is now rescheduled for January 12, 2024.
