Congress leaders have threatened to disrupt the shooting of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut's film 'Dhakad' in Sarni, Madhya Pradesh. They are demanding that the actress issue an apology for terming farmers as "terrorists" and 'Chinese agents' on Twitter during the ongoing farmers' protests. They have also demanded that a case be registered in the matter.
State Congress Sewa Dal secretary Manoj Arya and Chicholi Block Congress Committee president Nekram Yadav submitted a memorandum to the tahsildar in Betul, demanding that an apology be issued by Friday or else there would be protests at the shooting site.
However, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has assured the actress of protection against such issues and has offered protection for the shooting to continue.
"I had a telephonic talk with the Betul Superintendent of Police. Law will take its own course and will be adhered to. I am trying to contact behan-beti (sister and daughter) Kangana. She won't face any problem," Mishra said as quoted by India Today.
