Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner reach amicable agreements, seek dismissal of divorce case

London: American singer Joe Jonas has taken steps to dismiss his divorce case against actor Sophie Turner following productive mediation.

After reaching numerous agreements, the former couple is working towards an amicable resolution of all issues.

According to court records, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, known for her role in 'The Game Of Thrones,' have made significant progress in their divorce proceedings. They have established a temporary arrangement regarding child custody, and on October 11, Joe Jonas moved to dismiss his divorce case in Miami. The couple, who share two daughters aged one and three, has agreed on a custody plan.

As part of this arrangement, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas will alternate custody of their children.

The custody schedule extends through January 7 and includes intervals ranging from one and a half to three weeks. Starting from October 9 to October 21, Turner will have custody of the children, after which Jonas will take over from October 21 to November 2. Joe Jonas will have custody of the children for Thanksgiving, while Sophie Turner will spend Christmas and New Year's with them. During their designated custody periods, both parents have the freedom to travel with their children temporarily, either within the United States or the United Kingdom.

Furthermore, the agreement requires both Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner to submit a "status report letter" before December 23. This letter will outline the status of the mediation process between the two parties at that specific time.

The recent developments follow a legal dispute initiated by Sophie Turner, who requested the return of their daughters to the UK.

She alleged that Joe Jonas had withheld their daughters' passports, preventing them from returning to their "forever home." The complaint cited their "wrongful retention" in New York City, away from their habitual residence in the UK.

In April 2023, the couple had chosen England as their permanent residence to ensure their children could attend school in the country.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, who were married for four years, have been navigating their divorce since their split. Joe Jonas filed for divorce earlier this month, citing the relationship as "irretrievably broken." The couple's wedding took place in 2019 after nearly three years of dating.
