Mandi: Bollywood star and BJP candidate from Mandi's seat in Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut, claimed that she was successful in the film industry and will succeed in politics as well. She told Asian News International that after filing her nomination for the Lok Sabha polls on Tuesday, Hindustan Times reported.
Her mother, Asha Ranaut, and her sister, Rangoli Chandel, accompanied her, who donned a green saree and a Himachali cap to file the nomination papers.
ANI quoted her, "Today I have filed nomination from Mandi LS seat. It is a matter of pride for me to have the opportunity to compete with Mandi. I have been successful in Bollywood, and I am hopeful that I will succeed in the field of politics as well."
She claimed then that the people of Mandi and their love brought her to contest in the polls.
