Comedian Munawar Faruqui recently won ALTBalaji's reality show Lock Upp.
Hours after the 'Badass Finale' of Lock Upp, Munawar Faruqui had taken to social media to drop a romantic picture with his girlfriend Nazila Sitashi, leaving everyone shocked as the former had a romantic angle with his Lock Upp co-contestant Anjali Arora.
During the show, Munawar shared a close bond with Anjali Arora, who even told him 'I love you' during the show.
Days after, Anjali Arora has now talked about meeting Munawar Faruqui's girlfriend Nazila at Lock Upp's success party.
In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, the actress said that the meeting was not awkward. She said, "I met her when she entered with Munawar. He introduced her to me. It wasn't awkward. I was aware that she is his girlfriend and that she'll be coming to the party. So I just met her. She is very cute. There is no love triangle. Both of them are very happy together. May God bless them. The bond that I and Munawar share is of pure friendship," as quoted by Hindustan Times.
She also said it was Munawar's decision to keep his private life hidden from her, and that she doesn't hold it against him.
She said that she had no idea how 'cute' they were looking together to viewers. "When I scroll through the videos now, I can't believe how cute it all looked. I have a habit of pulling cheeks and playfully hitting my friends, but it wasn't romantic," she said.
Munawar had previously told Kannan that he might have led her on on the show, but said that they never crossed the line with each other. "When you're confined together for such a long time, you reach a level of comfort with the other person. But there was always a line that we didn't cross. And she'd maintained a line as well. It's not a big deal, it's just the audience's perspective," he said.
Earlier this week, in another interview with TellyChakkar.com, Munawar had also talked about how Nazila dealt with his close bond with Anjali on the show. He said, "I know it must have not been easy for her to watch all that happened as I and Anjali were very close and she went through a lot of emotions, but in the end, she understood the game and supported me. Most importantly, she had complete trust in me."
