Hrithik Roshan's FIR against Kangana Ranaut moved to CIU

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan's conflict with Kangana Ranaut resurfaced on Monday with Hrithik Roshan's lawyer submitting a letter to the Mumbai Police Commissioner, requesting transfer of the case to the Crime Intelligence Unit.

Citing the lack of progress in investigations since 2016, the letter makes note of the "immense harassment and stalking" that was allegedly perpetrated by Kangana and requested that the case be transferred so that it could be investigated thoroughly.

"It is pertinent to state that in spite of an order dated 30.11.2016, passed by the Ld. Magistrate, Esplanade Court, directing return of our client's laptop and phone, he has not collected the same as he wanted to assist the police reach the real culprits who had impersonated him," the letter reads.

Kangana Ranaut dismissed the new developments as a "sob story" created by the actor to create publicity.

"His sob story starts again, so many years since our break up and his divorce but he refuses to move on, refuses to date any woman, just when I gather courage to find some hope in my personal life he starts the same drama again,

The case in question saw Hrithik and Kangana filing legal notices against each other for comments made on social media after rumours of an alleged affair surfaced. Hrithik Roshan had earlier gone on record that he had over 1000 "senseless" emails from Kangana Ranaut and that the actress had been communicating with an imposter who had been sending emails in his name. Kangana has denied all allegations.
