Gunfire targets Tiger Shroff’s BMW in Mumbai, actor safe

Actor Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt after unidentified attackers opened fire at his BMW in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening, police sources said.

His driver was injured and hospitalised.

The firing occurred around 7 pm near Pushpa Park as Shroff was returning home after playing football. Three rounds were fired at the vehicle, sources told India Today.

The driver was admitted to Nanavati Hospital with an injury to his left hand and is out of danger, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg said. Two people, including the driver, were injured and hospitalised.

Shroff’s team confirmed to India Today that he was safe, saying, “Tiger is okay.”

Police have cordoned off the area and taken one person into custody for questioning in Santacruz. Fifteen teams have been formed to investigate the firing and track down the attackers.

Gangsters Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, who are linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility in a Facebook post. They alleged that Shroff had ignored earlier warnings against working with actor Salman Khan. The claim has not been independently verified.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke to the Mumbai Police Commissioner for details and directed the police to expedite the investigation and take strict action against those responsible.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde condemned the attack and said the police would apprehend the attackers and “respond to them in their own language”.

Congress MP Varsha Gaikwad questioned Mumbai’s law and order situation, citing previous firing incidents outside the homes of Salman Khan and filmmaker Rohit Shetty, as well as the killing of Congress leader Baba Siddique.

The incident is the latest in a series of attacks linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s claims against Bollywood personalities. In February 2026, five rounds were fired outside Shetty’s Juhu residence. In April 2024, two men on a motorcycle fired five rounds outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. A trial against five accused in the Salman Khan firing case is underway.
