Dharma Productions secures north theatrical distribution rights for Jr NTR's "Devara"

Karan Johar announced on Wednesday that Dharma Productions has acquired the North theatrical distribution rights for the upcoming film "Devara," starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan.

Johar expressed his excitement about this collaboration, describing it as a "mass hurricane of grandeur entertainment."

Sharing the news on Instagram, Johar posted, "A mass hurricane of grandeur entertainment is closer than ever before. Honoured and extremely grateful to be a part of - Man of Masses Jr NTR's Devara." He further added, "We are extremely thrilled and proud to announce our partnership for the north theatrical distribution rights for the next big cinematic experience in Indian cinema."

The official X handle of Dharma Productions also confirmed the collaboration, stating, "Brace yourself for a mass hurricane! We are proud to announce our partnership for the north theatrical distribution rights for the next big cinematic experience in Indian cinema!" The film is set to hit theaters on October 10, 2024.

Johar, known for his association with blockbuster films, previously presented the Hindi versions of the highly successful "Baahubali" series.

"Devara" marks Jr NTR's collaboration with director Koratala Siva after their previous film "Janatha Garage." The actor has been enjoying professional success, including attending the 95th Oscars ceremony last year, where the song "Naatu Naatu" from his film "RRR" won the award for Best Original Song.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar has been actively involved in various film projects. He recently returned to directing with "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani," starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Additionally, he has produced films like "Yodha," featuring Sidharth Malhotra, and has upcoming projects with Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kartik Aaryan.
