New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan got all welled up after watching the industry's veteran superstar Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Jhund' in a private screening prior to the release of the movie, NDTV reported.
In a video released by T-Series, Aamir was spotted wiping his tears and giving his appreciation, standing and applauding, after the screening. He has praised the crew for bringing up the movie, and he praised its story. The film is scheduled to release on March 4 on the big screen.
In the video, Aamir Khan said, "It has happened for the first time that a film has received a standing ovation during a private screening. I don't have words to say. The way you have captured the emotions of girls and boys of India it's unbelievable. The way the children have worked is unbelievable."
He called it one of the great films by Bachchan. "What a film. My God. Bohot hi behtareen film hai (it's an excellent film)," NDTV quoted him saying.
NDTV reports that Aamir Khan got teary-eyed multiple times before after a film screening. The actor was caught in pictures wiping his tears after the screening of Imran Khan-Kangana Ranaut starred "Katti Batti" as well as Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan film "Bajrangi Bhaaijan".
"Jhund" is a biographical sports drama on the life of social worker Vijay Barse, who founded the NGO Slum Soccer. Barse had inspired kids from slums to form a soccer team. The film was directed by Nagraj Manjule and produced by Bhushan Kumar and others under T-Series Tandav Films Entertainment Pvt.Ltd and Aatpat Films. It features Amitabh Bachchan, Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru in leading roles.
