Kozhikode: Noted Malayalam film script writer T A Shahid passed away here Friday.
41-year-old Shahid breathed his last at a private hospital here where he was undergoing treatment for sometime, film industry sources said.
Shahid had penned scripts for hit films like Mammootty-starrer 'Rajamanikyam', 'Balettan', 'Nattu Rajavu', 'Pachakkuthira', 'Mambazhakkalam'.
However, the movie Rajamanikyam earned him much applause with its unique slang of dialogues used by the lead-actor Mammutty.
Shahid began his career in films as an assistant director in 'Cheppidi Vidya'. 'Mathsaram' was the first film for which he had written the script.
He was all set to direct his first film with Mohanlal.
