New Delhi: India has added 2,689 more new Covid-19 cases to the active case pool in the past 24 hours, and the cumulative caseload from the pandemic outbreak reached 4,37,30,071. The Union Health Ministry's fresh update on Sunday 8 am suggested that 3,92,569 tests were conducted, and the active case pool increased to 1,43,449, NDTV reported.
The country also added 49 more deaths, taking the total official death count to 5,25,709. While active cases at the moment account for 0.32 per cent of the total infections, the national COVID-19 recovery rate stays at 98.48 per cent.
The fresh increase in the active caseload in the last 24 hours was 1,687 cases, health ministry data said.
After 17,790 recovered, total recovered patients reached 4,30,81,441.
India administered 25,59,840 more doses of vaccines the previous day, taking the total doses administered to 1,99,98,89,097.
