New Delhi: In a move benefiting commercial consumers, the Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) have announced a reduction in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders while keeping domestic gas prices unchanged.
Starting from today, commercial 19 kg LPG cylinders in Delhi will witness a drop of Rs. 99.75, making them available at Rs. 1,680 per cylinder.
The OMC, which revises LPG prices monthly, took the decision to ease the burden on commercial users. However, domestic consumers will not experience any change in the cost of their LPG cylinders.
As per the revised prices, commercial LPG cylinders in Mumbai will now cost Rs. 1,640.50, while the same cylinder in Kolkata will be priced at Rs. 1,802.50.
While the reduction in LPG cylinder prices brought relief to commercial establishments, the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) announced an increase in the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) by 8.5%.
This upward revision will apply to all aviation companies, potentially impacting air travel costs for passengers.
The IOCL attributed the ATF price hike to the fluctuating global oil prices, stating that the decision was necessary to offset rising expenses in the aviation sector.
