New Delhi: Online education company Byju’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ajay Goel quit the company to return to Vedanta where he previously worked.
“I thank the founders and colleagues at BYJU’S for helping me assemble the FY’22 audit in three months. I appreciate the support received during a short but impactful stint at BYJU’S,” PTI quoted Goel as saying.
The edtech major brought in Pradip Kanakia as the senior advisor and President (Finance) Nitin Golani was also given the responsibility of India’s CFO to manage company’s finance.
Vedanta announced current CFO Sonal Shrivastava’s resignation today in a filing with the stock exchanges.
Personal reasons have been cited for Shrivastava’s decision who joined Vedanta in June.
‘As part of Vedanta’s structured re-hiring program called ‘Gharwapsi’, Mr Ajay Goel joins back the Company,’ the company stated as per report.
Vedanta also announced Goel’s return to the company as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP).
Goel, who had left Vedanta in April to join Byju’s, will return with effect from October 30, 2023, according to The Indian Express.
Goel was previously an Acting CFO & KMP of the company from October 23, 2021 to April 09, 2023.
