'Scared as heck' about another Trump rule: Kamala Harris
text_fieldsWashington: Saying that she was "scared as heck" that former president of the United States, Donald Trump, would return to power, US Vice President Kamala Harris urged her party workers to work hard to not let that happen, Agence France-Presse reported.
Harris's response comes after Trump made a major victory in the Iowa caucuses on Monday.
Harris told a TV talk show that she was scared, and that is why she is travelling the country and everyone should be scared. However, one should not run away from something when they are scared but fight back, she added.
Harris was replying to a question about reports that former president Barack Obama was concerned about President Joe Biden's campaign and former first lady Michelle Obama also expressing her fear of Trump on a second term.
Stepping up an attack against Trump, Biden warned that the former is a threat to the US's democracy since he was impeached twice and faces 91 criminal indictments.
The first female, first black and first South Asian to be vice president of the US, Harris was always targeted by the Republicans, saying that she was not qualified to take over as president if something happened to Biden, who is 81 years old.
Harris intends to go on a nationwide tour next week to promote reproductive rights and freedoms, which the Democrats wish to uphold as a key issue in the 2024 polls race. She is to initiate the campaign from the swing state of Wisconsin. In a Supreme Court case of Roe v. Wade, the court granted a constitutional right to abortion.
