Sweden: A riot has broken out in a town in a town in Sweden, and three police officers were hospitalized in the conflict. Here, a demonstration that included a Quran burning was scheduled, The Guardian reported.

Video clips from the Linkoping town of Sweden showed a burning car along with several masked people attacking police cars.

Police spokesperson Asa Willsund told broadcaster SVT on Thursday that the mood of the scene was aggressive, and police were attacked. While two policemen sustained minor injuries, the condition of the third is not clear yet.

The riot erupted ahead of a scheduled demonstration at Skaggetorp neighbourhood and Quran burning by anti-Muslim Danish politician Rasmus Paludan and his party Stram Kurs.

Stram Kurs was given permission to hold the demonstration, which was scheduled at 3:00 pm local time, but they couldn't start it as riots erupted, and police started handling the rioters. Police said that there were masked people who were throwing rocks at them. But the mask clad people were not identified as to whether they were part of the demonstration or counter-protesters.

However, videos that appeared on social media showed men smashing police cars' windows and shouting "Allahu Akbar".
