Islamabad: The Pakistan Supreme Court has sent a notice to the premier Imran Khan seeking explanation on why he used a public property for a private function.

The notice was sent over Imran's participation in a lawyers' convention organised by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)'s legal wing at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad.

The said programme was meant to canvassing for the party's candidates at the upcoming Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) polls.

The court expressed serious concern and directed that the law officers and all concerned be prepared to dilate on whether a public building and the public offices of the Prime Minister and the Advocate General Punjab can be used for personal and or the political purposes of the political party to which they belong.
