London: Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, president of the UAE, and King Abdullah of Jordan condemned recent Iranian attacks on their countries, stating that Arab nations neither initiated nor took part in the ongoing US-Israeli conflict with Iran that began on February 28.

The two leaders said that members of the Gulf Cooperation Council and other Arab states had instead focused on containing the crisis and preventing further escalation, according to Jordan News Agency.

Their remarks came during a meeting held in Abu Dhabi on Monday, where they discussed the intensifying military developments in the region and their potential impact on security and stability, Arab News reported.

They also described what they termed as Iranian aggression as a violation of national sovereignty, international law, and established norms, warning that it poses a serious threat to global peace and security, as reported by Emirates News Agency.

Both leaders stressed the need to immediately halt the escalation and underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomatic efforts to restore stability and reduce tensions.
