Biden calls Vice President Kamala as 'President’ at White House event
text_fieldsNew York: US President Joe Biden again referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as ‘president’ during an event at White House on Monday.
Biden who turns 81 on November 20 made the same error at least on six previous occasions raising concerns about his capacity to lead the nation.
In the latest instance, while honouring the Las Vegas Golden Knights, Biden said: ‘President Harris is here to make sure we do this the right way.’
Las Vegas Golden Knights had won the Stanley Cup in June.
While wishing happy birthday to Harris in a White House event in October 2022, Biden called her ‘a great president’ saying: ‘Happy Birthday to a great president, we know your mom is always with you.’
A year later in 2021, Biden again called her ‘President Harris’ at an event in South Carolina, and went on to refer to her similarly in January that year.
There came a similar awkward moment in March 2022 when he called her ‘first lady’ while talking to media.
Biden, who is the oldest person to ever serve as president, will seek a second term possibly against Donald Trump.
Despite Biden’s gaffes, Harris always refuted the concerns over the President’s age with her recently declaring Biden is ‘very much alive and running for re-election’, according to Fox News.
