Actor Angelina Jolie stuns fans with surprise visit to Ukraine
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Customers in a coffee shop in Ukraine's city of Lviv couldn't believe their eyes on Saturday.
They gasped in recognition of Hollywood star Angelina Jolie vising their neigbourhood.
Angelina Jolie was on a mercy mission to refugees sheltering in the western Ukrainian city, according to New York Post.
She was seen posing for a selfie here, talking with locals there as well as socialising with refugees outside a railway station.
Radiating in casual baggy dray sweater and matching pants, she signed autograph for a fan and waved hands to locals who were in shock to see the star in the coffee shop.
One fan Maya Pidgoretska who was still reeling from the shock wrote on Facebook she had gone to have a coffee and there was Angelina Jolie.
Maya Pidgoretska added that Ukraine was simply supported by the entire world.
Just as fans were hyperventilating over the star, a boy wearing headphones sat engrossed by his phone, the report said.
The 46-year-old goodwill ambassador for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was visiting the children evacuated from Mariupol and other razed towns.
Angelina Jolie would meet Ukrainian volunteers and medical personnel engaged in relief works.
Another American actor to land in Ukraine during conflict was Sean Penn, who met President Zelenskyy for filming a documentary.
Following Russian attack, Penn and his crew fled the nation walking miles to the Polish border.
Later in a televised interview Penn said he met Zelenskky the day before and on the day of the invasion. The actor said that he was endlessly impressed by the way the president united the country.
