Stop calling me, Jet Airways CEO tells Vodafone after his tweet

New Delhi: Sanjiv Kapoor, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jet Airways, took to Twitter on Sunday complaining about the poor service of Vodafone Idea, causing embarrassment to the leading service provider.

Kapoor declared to be switching to another service after nine years of sticking to Vodafone, citing poor coverage in some parts of the country alongside ‘inferior’ international roaming plans.

After his tweet caught wide attention on social media, Kapoor reportedly kept receiving calls from the company which gave him a headache, according to NDTV.

"Dear @ViCustomerCare: please stop calling me repeatedly trying to convince me not to switch carriers. I have told you why I am switching after 9 years: 1. Poor coverage in some parts of India, and 2. Inferior international roaming plans for some countries. That's all. Thanks," Kapoor wrote on Twitter.

Although Kapoor didn’t want the service provider to make any more calls to him, he claimed to be receiving umpteen calls from Vodafone Idea.

Vodafone Idea responded to the Jet Airways CEO on Twitter that they would be addressing his issue, and made more calls to him.

Kapoor then tweeted requesting the Vodafone Idea not to get in touch with him anymore as he had received dozens of calls already.

Despite his request Kapoor reportedly got more calls from the customer care department, which he termed "unacceptable and absurd".

When one Twitter user said that Vodafone Idea has the best international roaming plans, Kapoor said ‘they did. No long though’.

Another Twitter user, sharing similar problems from the service provider, quipped that Kapoor was lucky getting calls from Vodafone Idea, because his complaint went ‘unresolved for last two weeks’.
