Google recognises Covid app 'GoK Direct'

Ulliyeri: Google Play Store recognised GoK Direct, the mobile app created in association with Kerala Startup Mission which helps raise awareness of Covid-19 and communicate the suggestions and notifications of the government immediately to the people.

Many apps related to Covid-19 have appeared in Play Store. Google team recognises certain official apps to help android users understand authentic apps after direct inspection. GoK Direct got verified as one of the official apps. The list of recognised apps will appear when one searches for 'Covid' in Play Store. Several apps have been removed after the direct investigation of Google.

Google included Gok Direct in the list of the recognised apps after they directly collected the official documents and technical information about the app, said Arun Poruli, the founder of Qkopy, one of the startups of Kerala Startup Mission.

More than 15 lakh people are using the app now. The app is also available on the iPhone App Store. Download the app here: http://Qkopy.xyz/gokdirect.
