Iran rejected the US justification, accusing the US of repeatedly violating both the ceasefire and the MoU by interfering in the Strait of Hormuz, supporting continued Israeli military operations in Lebanon and carrying out strikes on southern Iran, all of which Iran said amounted to breaches of the agreement.
