Dr G Mohan Gopal, the founder-chairperson of the Sree Narayana Manava Dharmam Trust, warned that if the Waqf (Amendment) Act continues in effect, it could pose a serious threat to the survival and functioning of mosques, madrasas, and other Muslim institutions, as well as to the practice of Islam itself within 20 years.
