Doha: Qatar University announced that the hotel room used by Aregnetnian team captain Lionel Messi will be turned into a mini museum to celebrate their win. A series of photographs of all the rooms used by the team was shared by the university.

The Argentinian team had chosen to stay on campus and not in a five-star hotel.

According to the Facebook post, Messi was in B201 which he shared with Sergio Aguero. The room will be preserved as it is for students and visitors to see. The room is in blue and white to match the Argentinian team's colours. Several photographs of the players are also in the room.

The social media post said: "The University of Qatar announces the allocation of the room built by the Argentine national team player Lionel Messi during the Qatar World Cup into a mini museum."

The room of Argentina national team player Lionel Messi will remain unchanged and will remain available only for visitors and not for new residents. Messi's belongings will be a legacy for students and future generations and a witness to the great achievements Messi has reached during the World Cup," said Hitmi al Hitmi, director of communications and public relations at Qatar University.
