Doha: After the thrilling Argentina-France final dropped the curtains for the FIFA World Cup 2022, Qatar, where Argentina won the title, Lionel Messi won the best player of the tournament award, while Kylian Mbappe, the French star on boots, won the Adidas Golden Boot.

Mbappe won Adidas Golden Golden Boot.

The FIFA 2022 turned out to be Messi's World Cup after he charged his team to win the title with seven goals and won the Adidas Golden Ball. The 35-year-old became the first man to score in the last 16, quarterfinal, semi-final and final of the same edition. Also, an individual accolade for the second time.

Messi won the silver boot, and Olivier Giroud from France the Bronze boot.

Mbappe, who won the golden boot, was level with Messi with five goals before the final match. He became the first man to score a hat trick in FIFA finals since Sir Geoff Hurst in 1966. With eight goals in all, Mbappe matched Ronaldo's total in 2002.

There were many running for the best young player, including Jude Bellingham of England and Aurelien Tchouameni of France. However, Argentina's Enzo Fernandez, a tenacious and determined midfielder who is also good in possession and a driving force in Lionel Scaloni's Argentina at the age of 21, IANS reported.

Enzo Fernandezm won Best Young Player.

Emiliano Martinez, the Aston Villa goalkeeper, won the Golden Glove. The Argentine provided heroics in penalty shoot-out victories for Argentina against both Netherlands, where he saved two, and against France in the final, where he kept out Kingsley Coman's effort to give his side the upper hand.

Emiliano Martinez won the Golden Glow.

Though England left the stage in the quarterfinals, it won the Fair Play award of the tournament.
