Kochi: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bought English batter Harry Brook for a whopping Rs 13.25 crore on Friday. Through the deal of the IPL 2023 Mini Auction, Brook became the first millionaire of the tournament’s upcoming edition.

Sunrisers also bought Indian opener Mayank Agarwal for Rs 8.25 crore.

In the meantime, erstwhile SRH skipper, as well as New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, got sold for Rs 2 crore to defending champions Gujarat Titans. Chennai Super Kings picked former India Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane at his base price of Rs 50 lakhs.

However, ex-skipper of England Joe Root and South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw, with base prices of Rs 1 crore and Rs 2 crore, respectively, went unsold, IANS reported.
