Guwahati: Rajasthan Royals (RR) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) for 57 runs to move to the top of the ten-team point table on Saturday match at Barsapara Stadium here.

RR proved their dominance even from the start of both innings with the bat as well as the ball. In the first innings, RR’s Yashasvi Jaiswal hit five boundaries of DC’s Khaleel Ahmed, while Trend Boult of the former took two back-to-back wickets, including Impact Player Prithvi Shaw of the latter in the first over of the second innings.

For Rajasthan, youngster but brutal Jaiswal and ferocious Jos Buttler powered half tons, 60 off 31 and 79 off 51, respectively, and both hitting 11 boundaries and one sixes each. Both were having a great time hitting the ball to the fence. Though Sanju Samson got out a duck, Shimron Hetmyer played in the final overs to take the team to 199/4 in 20 overs.

Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal were in good touch with the ball in the second innings, taking 3/29 and 3/27, respectively, to clamp Delhi to 142/9 in 20 overs.

For Delhi, skipper David Warners seems to do keeping his part straight. After 56 off 48 against Lucknow and 37 off 32 against Gujarat, he scored 65 off 55 against RR on Saturday afternoon. DC had lost all three games they played this season.

On the day, Warner tried to join bats with his co-batters, but they left the pitch one following the next. While he made his fifty from 44 balls, batters were falling in the other end, where the Aussie could do nothing but watch. He had made a 64-run partnership with Lalit Yadav, but Trend Boult returned to castle Yadav.

Brief Scores: Rajasthan Royals 199/4 in 20 overs (Jos Buttler 79, Yashasvi Jaiswal 60; Mukesh Kumar 2/36, Rovman Powell 1/18) beat Delhi Capitals 142/9 in 20 overs (David Warner 65, Lalit Yadav 38; Yuzvendra Chahal 3/27, Trent Boult 3/29) by 57 runs
