M Cares, the new project by Madhyamam, aimed at providing care and self-confidence to children distraught by the pandemic, was launched Tuesday. Minister for Education and Labout, V Sivankutty announced the project and released the logo at Mascot hotel, Thiruvananthapuram. 'Let them dream big, let us stand by' is the motto put forth by the scheme.

The Minister stressed that our responsibility is to support the children when they lose their parents or when families are pushed into financial crisis. It is this responsibility that Madhyamam is taking on, he added. He explained that the 'M Cares' project aims to improve financially backward children's personal and professional skills and support those who lost their parents to the pandemic by giving them mental courage and guidance.

Madhyamam Joint Editor PI Noushad presided over the function. Director-General of Education Jeevan Babu, PRD Deputy Director Salin Mankuzhi, Global trainer Ummer Shihab, STEM Genius X and Y learning CEO Mohammad Ajmal, Jyothis Group of Schools Chairman Jyothis Chandran, Saphire entrance Coaching Centre MD Dr.V. Sunilkumar, Nims Medicity MD M Faisal Khan, Madhyamam Editorial Relations Director Vayalar Gopakumar, and Thiruvananthapuram Regional Manager B Jayaprakash also attended the function. The 'M Cares' scheme is in addition to the 'Healthcare' and 'Aksharaveedu' welfare schemes of Madhyamam.

The scheme includes motivation talks to boost children and their mental health, career guidance, counselling to effectively tackle problems, skill training to ensure success, guidance and information regarding scholarships, language training, entrance coaching etc.

Students of M-Cares will receive free classes from Madhyamam newspapers and publications on current affairs. CIGI shall offer classes on career guidance and English house in the English language. Entrance coaching to premier institutions like IIM and IIT will be conducted by STEM Genius, and Saphire institute will provide medical and engineering entrance coaching.
