'UAE's progress is unstoppable', Sheikh Mohammed celebrates national figures

Two prominent Emirati figures have been recognized for their pivotal contributions to national progress, receiving the Mohammed bin Rashid Sash during a ceremony celebrating excellence in governance. The honors, presented by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, highlight the significant roles played by Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid bin Rashid, Crown Prince of Ajman, and Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Chairman of the Office of Development and Martyrs Families Affairs at the Presidential Court.

Sheikh Ammar’s efforts in transforming Ajman’s government system were commended, reflecting a consistent alignment with federal priorities. Since assuming the role of Chairman of the Executive Council in 2003, he has spearheaded impactful initiatives such as "Ajman Vision 2021" and "Ajman Vision 2030". His leadership has driven projects like the Ajman Excellence Program and innovative service models, including the Global Star Rating System and the Zero Bureaucracy Program, enhancing public service quality and satisfaction.

Sheikh Theyab’s leadership in critical infrastructure and community initiatives was equally celebrated. He has played a vital role in the National Railway Program, particularly through Etihad Rail, which aims to connect the UAE’s emirates and bolster regional economic integration. His contributions extend to social initiatives, including the Dh1 billion Emirates Villages project and a Dh500 million package focused on community development and improving quality of life.

The awards were presented during the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award ceremony, which acknowledged exceptional achievements across various government sectors. Categories included recognition for best-performing ministries, authorities, educators and entities excelling in public service, communication, and innovation. This year’s evaluation process involved 130 experts assessing over 225 candidates from 27 entities, reflecting rigorous standards and a commitment to maintaining global leadership in governance.

Sheikh Mohammed reiterated the UAE’s steadfast commitment to progress, emphasizing the importance of continuous development and the country's resilience in adapting to global changes. The awards, guided by the principles of "We the Emirates Vision 2031," reveal the UAE’s strategic focus on excellence and its vision for a prosperous future.
