Dubai: Celebrating the spirit of campus friendships extended into expatriate life, 'Come On Kerala' will honor the most impactful college alumni association on its grand stage. The recognition will be given under the title 'Alumni Impact Award'. The initiative aligns with the UAE’s declaration of 2025 as the “Year of Social Responsibility.”

The award aims to recognize the contributions of alumni associations in strengthening social and family bonds, as well as their voluntary and community efforts.

The seventh edition of Come On Kerala will be held on May 9, 10 and 11 at the Sharjah Expo Centre under the patronage of Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi. The award ceremony and announcement of the best alumni association will take place in the presence of distinguished guests at the event.

Alumni associations of Kerala-based colleges currently active in the UAE are eligible to apply for the Alumni Impact Award. Interested associations must submit their applications by April 10, along with basic details about the association and its diverse activities.

All activities undertaken between March 2024 and March 2025 will be evaluated, and they must comply with UAE’s legal and regulatory frameworks. Consideration will be given to initiatives involving social relevance, family get-togethers, sports events, environmental sustainability, contributions in the health and education sectors, services rendered to their respective colleges and charitable activities.

From the pool of applicants, ten associations will be selected for the final round of evaluation. Special feature stories about these selected associations will be published by Gulf Madhyamam. Following the release of video stories on social media, the public will have the chance to vote online. The final winner will be determined based on both public voting and the assessment of an expert panel.
