Indian Association Sharjah hosts book launch of Dr Kiran Bedi and Dr Ajayya Kumar

Sharjah: The first IPS Woman officer in India and the first woman to head United Nations Police, Magsaysay Award winner Dr Kiran Bedi’s book ‘Fearless Governance’ was launched in Sharjah UAE.
The much-discussed book was synergistically launched with the celebrated author and Global Asian of the Year Award winner Dr Ajayya Kumar’s ‘Mindful Parenting’. The conclave Parenting 4.0 was co-hosted by IAS (Indian Association of Sharjah) and Guinness World Record-winning guidance organisation Lifology. Dr Kiran Bedi emphasised the importance of Parenting young children in moulding future leaders and Dr Ajayya Kumar pointed out the significance of inspiring fearlessness through governing and parenting.
The authors pointed out that ‘parenting and governing’ are like two hands of the society and one has to complement the other for having better families and societies. Indian Association of Sharjah (IAS), one of the most eminent Indian organisations in the middle east and Lifology Guidance organisation which has footprints across the UK, UAE, and India jointly hosted the conclave to inspire better practises of parenting. The Middle East launch of the website of the International Institute of Parenting and Research (IIPR) was also done by Dr Kiran Bedi.
Office-bearers of IAS Adv YA Rahim (President), Nazir TV (Gen.Secretary), Sreenath TK (Treasurer), Dr Pramod Mahajan (Principal, Sharjah Indian School), Praveen Parameswar (CEO, Lifology), Rahul Easwar (Director Education, Lifology), Rahul J Nair (Chief Lifologist), Daizy Paul (Principal, Ryan International School) were the guests in the function.
Dr Kiran Bedi highlighted the importance of family and mentoring a child from a young age. The former top cop said, “even crimes to a great extent can be stopped by effective parenting and moulding our children to become better citizens of the world”. She lauded the efforts of Lifology, the Indian Association Sharjah, and the Sharjah Indian school in shaping the future of our coming generations.
Dr Ajayyakumar said, “the most important thing in parenting is listening to the silence of the child and understanding what that means”. The award-winning management expert pointed out that governance and parenting are two sides of the same coin.
The need for raising awareness on Parenting and Governance on a Global level was highlighted for a better future for the coming generations. Various psychologists, educators, and social thinkers took part in the conclave and were also joined digitally from various parts of the world.
