Dubai Courts has introduced a comprehensive service package to simplify judicial procedures for senior citizens and people of determination. This initiative aims to provide financial support and ease the legal burden on these groups by offering services like fee exemptions, postponements and debt payments.

The new services are accessible through the Dubai Courts' call centre, website and service centres across the emirate. Mohammed Al Obaidli, Executive Director of the Claims Management Sector, highlighted the key components of the package, including voluntary legal consultation and representation services and support for financially insolvent litigants.

“Dubai Courts is keen to make it easier for senior citizens and people of determination to obtain judicial services. We place the highest priority on enhancing rapid and easy access to the services as part of our efforts to create a judicial environment characterised by transparency, efficiency and efficient delivery of justice. The service package is designed to support senior citizens and people of determination, who we consider a blessing and our top priority,” said His Excellency Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Dubai Courts.

The package offers several specific services:

- Shore: Voluntary legal consultations in partnership with accredited law firms.

- Sanad: Voluntary legal representation in cases, also in collaboration with accredited law firms.

- Aoun: Financial support for litigants who cannot afford expert costs.

- Courts of Goodness: Assistance in debt payments for financially insolvent individuals.

- Al Adheed Services: Free services from Al Adheed Centers for the targeted groups.

Additional benefits include priority service in centres, dedicated parking, rooms for video calls and expedited call centre services.

Al Obaidli emphasized the social impact of the initiative: “The launch of this package reflects our firm commitment to providing exceptional and reliable judicial services. The initiative will help enhance social sustainability and cohesiveness and foster a judicial environment marked by equality and social justice. By facilitating and streamlining judicial procedures for senior citizens and people of determination, the service package will save time, effort and costs while addressing their specific needs.”

This initiative aligns with Dubai Courts’ dedication to sustainable development and their contribution to the Dubai Social Agenda 33, advancing social justice and integration.
