The islands of Al-Lith governorate witness a series of dolphin sightings over several days, with successive pods appearing near beaches and waterways, drawing attention from visitors and residents.

The appearances enhance the ecotourism experience in the area and strengthen Al-Lith’s standing as a growing marine destination on the coastal tourism map. The Saudi Press Agency reports on Wednesday that the sightings coincide with increased activity among visitors, sea enthusiasts and photographers.

Dolphins are seen gliding through the water, leaping and spinning in coordinated movements near the shore. According to SPA, the scenes appear to welcome onlookers and are quickly documented by photographers and visitors.

Images and videos of the dolphins circulate widely, highlighting the marine environment and the clear waters of the Red Sea south of Makkah.

SPA reports that the repeated presence of dolphins shows the health of the marine ecosystem surrounding the Al-Lith islands and points to the effectiveness of measures aimed at protecting wildlife and supporting environmental sustainability.

Experts say the recurrence of such sightings supports responsible tourism, increases the region’s economic value and encourages activities including marine trips, environmental exploration and nature photography, offering an approach that combines tourism with conservation.
