Riyadh: Monday was a day of joy and national pride as citizens across Saudi Arabia took to the streets to celebrate the 94th National Day, flying the Saudi flag high at various local events organized by authorities.

In Jeddah, the Royal Guard Presidency hosted a grand celebration attended by Maj. Gen. Suleiman Al-Hudhaili, the commander of the Royal Guard Group in the Western Region. The festivities included musical performances featuring traditional Saudi melodies, a motorcycle parade and a display by the Honor Guard. The official ceremony commenced with the national anthem and a recitation of Qur'anic verses, followed by a special operetta titled “And Blessings,” presented by Dar Al-Tarbia Al-Hadetha School. Attendees were also treated to a documentary film about the occasion and a presentation by the Royal Guard, all reflecting the day's significance.

The celebrations in the Jazan region attracted a large and diverse crowd. Families adorned with the national flag enjoyed various shows, parades and cultural exhibitions organized by local associations in partnership with the Ministry of Sports. The activities took place along a cultural street in Jazan, stretching over 450 meters, featuring art stations showcasing national-themed artworks that symbolize allegiance and patriotism. Visitors strolled along shaded pathways decorated with national motifs, relaxed in designated seating areas and took photos next to beautiful sculptures.

In Madinah, families also joined in the festivities held in parks and squares under the slogan “We Dream, We Achieve".

Thousands of children in Hail and Tabuk celebrated the occasion by donning national colours and participating in local events organized by municipalities. In Yanbu, a bicycle parade saw 130 cyclists carrying national flags, attended by Governor Saad bin Marzouq Al-Suhaimi and numerous local officials. The parade began at the Royal Commission in Yanbu Industrial City and proceeded to the historic district of Yanbu Al-Bahr, showcasing community spirit and joy for National Day.

In the Northern Borders region, cities were adorned with over 6,000 flags displayed in parks, streets and squares, along with 650 advertising boards promoting the celebrations. The regional municipality organized various entertainment and cultural events at Arar Water Tower Park.

To cap off the festivities, the General Entertainment Authority coordinated fireworks displays across the Kingdom, with fireworks launched simultaneously in major cities, including Riyadh, Jeddah, AlKhobar, Buraidah, Tabuk, Madinah, Abha, Hail, Arar, Najran, Baha, Al-Jouf and Jazan, lighting up the night sky in celebration of the nation's unity and heritage.
