Saudi Arabia approves transit visa

Saudi Arabia has approved the amendment to the transit system which allows visitors to stay and visit for short period. The amendment dealt with visits, Hajj and transit system as mentioned in the official Gazette Umm Al-Qura.

Travellers arriving via air, sea or land are granted visa to enter the Kingdom for 48 and 96 hours at SAR 100 to SAR 300 respectively. The Saudi Cabinet's decision to develop the regulations related to the entry visas to the Kingdom had already been already in consideration before coming into effect.

This comes as a relief to travellers especially tourists to be able to stop and visit the country. Saudi Arabia has also resumed the Islamic Umrah pilgrimage from the beginning of November.
