Kuwait: Kuwaiti officials declared on Thursday that they will not permit the use of their territory or airspace as launching sites for military assaults on other nations.

Col. Hamad Al-Sager, a spokesman for the Defence Ministry, dismissed claims that implied otherwise, according to Kuwait News Agency on Thursday.

His remarks coincided with a scheduled meeting between Iranian officials and regional allies from Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen to discuss potential retaliation against Israel in the wake of the Wednesday attack that killed Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, in Tehran, Arab News reported.

A larger regional confrontation between Israel and Iran and its allies is becoming more likely in the wake of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh's death in Tehran in a drone attack on the place he was staying and the Israeli strike that killed senior Hezbollah leader Fouad Shukur on Tuesday in a southern Beirut suburb.
