Jazeera Airways has suspended flights to nine Indian cities, citing operational reasons, with services set to remain halted until May 15.

The airline said routes to and from Coimbatore, Goa, Kannur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangaluru, Tiruchirappalli and Vijayawada will be affected from April 10 under the temporary measure.

Passengers holding confirmed bookings will be offered full refunds. Those who booked through travel agents will receive the amount as credit for future travel, the airline said.

Chief Executive Officer Barathan Pasupathi apologised for the disruption, stating the decision was due to factors beyond the airline’s control.

Despite the suspension, Jazeera Airways will continue operating flights to eight destinations in India through its base in Dammam. The airline said nearly 500 employees remain engaged in maintaining operations across its network.

Passengers travelling on other routes have been advised to check schedules in advance due to ongoing adjustments.

The airline had recently expanded its India network by adding Kozhikode, Tiruchirappalli, Mangaluru and Kannur under Project Vande Bharat to strengthen links with South India.
