Kuwait introduces Baladia 139 app to handle public complaints faster
text_fieldsThe Kuwait Municipality has introduced a new mobile application, Baladia 139, designed to enhance communication between the public and municipal officials and streamline the handling of complaints.
Municipal spokesperson Mohammad Al-Sandan, Director of Public Relations, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the app allows users to report violations by submitting photos and location details directly through the platform. Depending on the severity, complaints are addressed within four to 72 hours. Users are notified of the resolution process and receive confirmation photos once issues are resolved.
The system also enables the Municipality to monitor the performance of inspectors and staff in real time. Officials receive monthly data tracking the efficiency and response times of municipal teams.
Al-Sandan said continuous updates will be made to the app to prevent technical issues and further improve service delivery. The initiative aims to simplify public access to municipal services and speed up administrative procedures.
