Kuwait aviation authority warns against booking with unapproved airlines

Kuwait’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has advised travellers not to book tickets or make reservations with airlines that have not received official approval to operate.

In a statement to KUNA, PACA spokesperson Abdullah Al-Rajhi said only Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways are currently authorised to run flights from Kuwait International Airport. He added that all other airlines have yet to secure operating permits.

Al-Rajhi said passengers who have already made bookings with unapproved airlines can submit complaints through the Sahel app, allowing authorities to take action against violators.

He noted that the Sahel app serves as the official platform for receiving and tracking complaints about airlines and travel agencies, helping protect passenger rights and supporting follow-up by the relevant teams.
