Iran has installed a new billboard in central Tehran depicting US President Donald Trump and members of his family above coffins draped in the American flag, escalating its anti-US messaging.

The billboard, set against the backdrop of a burning White House, features Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and his five children: Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, and Barron Trump. It carries the Persian slogan "Blood for Blood."

The display comes after Iran earlier erected another billboard in Tehran's Enghelab Square showing Trump lying in a coffin.

The billboards are part of Iran's broader use of public displays to project political and ideological messages.

Since the escalation of hostilities with the US and Israel earlier this year, Tehran has installed large murals and billboards across prominent public spaces featuring revolutionary imagery and war-related themes. The displays in Valiasr Square are designed by the Owj Arts and Media Organisation, which is associated with an organisation linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The latest billboard follows recent calls by Iranian leaders for retaliation after the assassination of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei's father. In a message posted on Telegram last week, Mojtaba Khamenei said those responsible "will not die peacefully in their beds" and vowed that revenge "will most certainly be carried out."

Meanwhile, Trump said last week that he had instructed US officials to launch an overwhelming military response if Iran were to assassinate him.

Speaking to the New York Post, Trump said he had been on Iran's target list for years following the 2020 US strike that killed Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani.

"I've left instructions, if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they've never seen before," Trump said.

Separately, Axios reported that the United States is deploying dozens of aerial refuelling aircraft to support Israel as it prepares for a possible expansion of military operations against Iran, citing senior US and Israeli officials.
