Burjeel Holdings announces specialized day Surgery Centres in KSA

Abu Dhabi: Burjeel Holdings PLC, Abu Dhabi based super-speciality healthcare provider, announces plans to launch the Group’s first two Specialized Day Surgery Centers in Riyadh by 2025. The leading medical group in the MENA region is extending service by offering minimally invasive and comprehensive treatments through the Surgery centres.

These centres will offer services including Oncology, Advanced Gynecology, Orthopedics and Neurology. By involving advanced robotics solutions, Burjeel aims to introduce internationally affiliated centres to ensure access to the best services available.

Each centre is projected to generate annual revenue of at least SAR 150 to 200 million, with an estimated CAPEX investment of USD 30-40 million per centre. The centres, fully owned and operated by Burjeel Holdings, are expected to drive strong demand for tailored healthcare services. Burjeel envisions significant healthcare market growth in Saudi Arabia. In 2023, Burjeel initiated the first investment in the country, through specialist fitness centres, in association with Leejam Sports.

Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, expressed pride in supporting KSA’s Vision 2030 by enhancing healthcare services.

“Today’s announcement is part of our broader commitment to maximizing the accessibility of high-quality healthcare services across the region”, said Dr. Shamsheer. He added, “The addition of Specialized Day Surgery Centers in KSA complements the recent launch of our PhysioTherabia network and reinforces our strong commitment to patient excellence and aspiration to create a healthier, brighter future for all."

John Sunil, CEO of Burjeel Holdings, emphasized that the new centres mark a significant step in the company's expansion plans in KSA, enhancing services, increasing revenue, and boosting profitability. He highlighted the expertise in the "specialized day surgery centre" model, aiming to enhance patient experience with sophisticated technology while providing cost-efficient services to insurance companies.

Burjeel Holdings, listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), reaffirms its commitment to expanding its healthcare footprint in the Kingdom and contributing to the development of high-quality healthcare services in the region.
