Thiruvananthapuram: Hours after bomb shelling political circles by revealing that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had a bagful of currency ferried to UAE in 2016, the gold-smuggling accused Swapna Suresh remain stuck to her allegations.

Swapna Suresh on Tuesday gave to a local court a statement as per 164 of CrPC in money laundering case and afterwards she raised damaging allegations against Pinarayi Vijayan. Vijayan was quick to deny them calling the allegation as part of "certain agenda" against him.

Even after the allegation whipped up turmoil in political circles, Swapna said on Wednesday that she did not have any political or personal agenda behind giving the statement to the court.

Swapna said she had given statement against the Chief Minister as there was evidence and she had already shared the matter with investigating agencies in the past.

Turning the business-end of her allegations on the chief minister's wife Kamala and daughter Veena, Swapna said they are leading luxurious lives while she is left to suffer.

Alongside, Swapna on Tuesday said she had testified against Kamala, Veena, Vijayan's former principal secretary M Sivasankar and chief principle secretary Nalini Netto, and former minister KT Jaleel.

CM Vijayan said in a statement that there was no truth in Swapna's reveal. When the gold smuggling case emerged, the state government, he said, asked the Centre for comprehensive probe, which didn't happen because of some political reasons.
