Thiruvananthapuram: Welfare Party State Vice President Joseph John has accused SFI of implementing Stalinism on campuses by beating up opponents. He was inaugurating the Secretariat March organized by the District Committee of Fraternity Movement against the murderous politics of SFI, which is turning campuses into killing fields. The SFI attacks on the students started after the defeat of the SFI candidate in connection with the college union elections. Joseph John demanded that people with conscience and a sense of justice organize and mobilize instead of watching Kerala campuses get drenched in blood by the SFI gang which is unleashed in the frenzy of succession of power, like North Indian campuses. Fraternity Movement District President Amjad Rahman presided over the march.

Amjad Rahman said that it is foolish to think that SFI will give freedom and democracy to others which it does not even give to its own workers, and demanded that SFI should be ready to rewrite the slogans of fascism, dictatorship, Stalinism Zindabad. Welfare Party District General Secretary Mahboob Khan Poovar concluded the protest march.

It is condemnable that the police who did not take any action in the violence that took place in Maharajas College for two months are now trying to hunt down the students under the influence of the government. He added that SFI is trying to eliminate the Fraternity from the campuses with the help of police and that they will counter such activities through democratic means of resistance.

Ad Ali Sawad welcomed the march and Nishat MS gave the vote of thanks. The march started from in front of Martyrs Column Palayam and the activists were stopped by the police barricade in front of the secretariat gate. District General Secretary Mufida S Jalil, Faisal Pallinada, Lameeh, and Shajirina led the march.
