Kochi: The Maradu police in Kerala have taken action in response to a complaint filed by the wife of Pramod Raman, the Editor of Media One Channel, who alleged a cyber-attack targeting her. A case has been registered under the provisions of the Kerala Police Act 200.

The police initiated an FIR following the statement of P Jayalakshmi, who also serves as a teacher at Ponnurunni GLPS. Jayalakshmi reported that her morphed photos were circulated on social media platforms, accompanied by explicit comments directed at her.

This cyber-attack on the Editor's spouse is believed to be connected to a recent social media campaign, which emerged in response to a news report aired on Media One. To investigate this matter further, the Cyber Wing of the Kerala Police will take charge.

The campaign, which gained traction on various social media and online platforms, led to the cyber-attack on the Editor's wife. The case will be handed over to the Cyber Police for a comprehensive investigation.

Pramod Raman, Editor of 'Media One,' expressed his concerns in a Facebook statement, highlighting that the derogatory posts and comments, particularly targeting women, originated from two specific profiles. He has provided the police with crucial information and expressed hope for swift and effective action.
