Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala’s Education Minister V Sivankutty trolled Governor Arif Mohammad Khan over his remark that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is a good actor and must start a theatre company. Sivankutty’s retort was that if Pinarayi must start a theatre company, what is best for the Governor is to start a circus company. Starting a circus company will be better since he knows how to make everyone laugh.

On Thursday, Governor Khan claimed that the suitable job for CM Vijayan is running a theatre company.

Khan told reporters in Thrissur that Vijay, on the one hand, directs SFI activists to organize protests against him while, on the other, orders state police to provide him protection.

“It would be better for him if he starts a theatre company,” The Statesman quoted the Governor.

He made the comment in the backdrop of CPI(M)’s student wing, Students Federation of India (SFI) staging protests against him raising black-flags.

On Thursday, when the Governor reached the Saraswathi Vidyanikethan School Thrissur, the SFI activists waved black flags to protest against him. Police had arrested 15 SFI activists in connection with the incident.

On Wednesday also, the students’ organization protested against Khan when he was attending a convocation ceremony of the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) in Thrissur, The Statesman reports. Police had then arrested 50 activists of SFI then.
